Turning into a zoo?

All About Me
So we all know mom works at Pitt Law where I go and visit to help out stressed out students frequently.  Well, yay me, because I'm a model again.  Check out how I was on the University of Pittsburgh's instagram!  I was a in a story post!

What does that have to do with Zoos?  You must not watch basketball...  Pitt Oakland Zoo

Dad always says no more pets ... but every time I turn around, someone knew is here!

The fish - Cichlids - had babies:

Not only did we get some chicks again this year, but look at the two weird ones.  These are ducks they say.  I wonder if they taste like chickens?

Anyway, there's a pekin duck and a rouen duck.  They are named Molly and McGuire (but we think they are both female).  Here's a collage of them growing - they were bite size, I mean small and went to full size in just 8 weeks!

Here's me just being silly...

Even Grayson is horrified!

The stingy things came back.  Mom calls this a waggle dance.  Apparently it has something to do with her telling the others where to go for more dog bites.  No wait, flowers.  Stay out of the flowers!

And my oldest sister!  Can you believe she is graduating?!  This Friday...

The chicks are also not so bite size anymore ... here you can see them getting introduced to the big mean one - the rooster they call it.

Then there is this turkey that is hanging around.  She keeps on yelling.  I wonder if she has bite size ... I mean babies?

This past weekend, we had a puppy join us.  I guess we were puppy-sitting.  Boy did he have energy!

So you wonder why I'm exhausted?  Now you know why!  I think Grayson agrees with me.  I still can't figure out why he doesn't bark...

Major Things

Hey, guys!!! It's been awhile, but a lot of major things have happened.....

First major thing that has happened to me is that I'm a MODEL!!!! So everywhere Liz goes she gets me a bandana. I love my bandanas!! There is this person that Mom knows that makes clothes, and one thing she makes are bandanas. Mom ordered me a nice flannel Steelers one, and the owner of Elephant Summer said that if she took a picture of me with this bandana on she would enter me into her contest. The winner would get a free bandana and a second one for half off. That's what we did. Liz took a picture of me and sent it to her and I was entered into the contest. A week or so went by and the contest began. It lasted for around 2 days, and the people voted for me!!! I mean I'm not surprised I'm handsome, but it's nice to know everyone knows that I am. Once I won Liz picked out 2 bandanas for me. I have all my bandanas now hanging on my crate.

The second major thing that has happened to me is that I tore my ACL. I didn't mean to...I slipped in the kitchen and then a week or 2 after I ran after Grayson and it just kinda happened. Mom and Liz first took me to the vet to see what was wrong, but they couldn't tell because it was too inflamed to know; so they gave me medicine and told them to make me use this thing called a "ramp". At first I didn't like it, but once Liz used food with it I was all for it. A week went by and I went to the vet again and they said I tore my ACL. In between that I had to get these "laser" treatments done, so they had to put these goggles on, to be honest it was weird but I did it. I had to wear this brace on my leg which I hated; so I would try to take it off, but Liz never let me do that. I don't wear it now and I'm off the medicine so I'm doing better. I just have to take it easier than I did before, but that's fine with me. I mean who wouldn't want to lay around all day. I do still walk with Liz outside and sometimes play with Grayson. Everyone has taken good care of me, and that's why I love my family so much!

PS. Grayson still doesn't leave me alone. I don't get him sometimes....

Invasion of Tiny Creatures

Hey People of the Internet!!!

I'm writing today about these things that now live here. I don't know why, but they are. So here's the story........

Dad kept saying he wanted a hobby.....I don't know why he wants one he has me, but that's his decision. Him and Grandpa were building this fence, and they eventually finished it. They put these boxes in it, and hung things on it. Naturally I wanted to check it out, but when I did it SHOCKED ME!!!!! IT REALLY HURT!!! I'm never touching that thing again......

A week or so later Mom and Dad came home and had these boxes that made this buzzing noise. I don't know what they were, so I went inside and chilled out.

Later that evening I go out to do my business and these little creatures are flying in and out of the boxes inside of that fence. I wasn't going to go over there, because of that fence so I just continued to do what I went out for.  Little did I know these little things hurt!

I watch Mom and Dad when they go in that fence, and Liz sits with me. One day, Liz was taking pictures of those creatures while Mom and Dad were in that fence. I was sitting under the tree and one of those things came to me and flew around me. I turned to get it away from me, but it came back and hurt me. It felt like getting a shot, and I don't like shots!

Ever since these things have been here I've gotten stung (that's what people call it when these things attack you) multiple times. I now sit farther away from them, or I'll sit with Liz so she can protect me.

These creatures haven't left yet, so I guess they are here to stay. I'll just have to do my thing and they will have do theirs.

If you want to keep up with these creatures, Mom writes a blog about them. Here's the link to it:

This is what these creatures look like.

Here's the fence and the boxes inside it

They use this to calm those things

Tuesday at Pitt

Hey Guys!

I haven't been writing lately, just simply because alot has happened. So I'll start with a fun day I had in July.

So there's this thing called the Bar Exam, and I guess it's really stressful. It takes place in downtown Pittsburgh. Mom works with the people who take it, so she thought she would bring me to help with their stress. That's fine with me, cause I love people!! Liz and her cousin just happened to be at Pitt that week to for this Cyber Camp (whatever that is).

I had a blast!!! I met so many people, which meant a lot of hugs and attention. It was a win win situation. They got to see my handsome face and I got free hugs. After that Mom and I went and got Liz. Then a little later Liz's cousin came back to Mom's office.

Once we were all together Liz and Jamin took me for a walk. We went to a park, this tall building, a tall thing with a scarf on it, and to a cat that wouldn't move. Later that day they got me a hot dog!!! It was so good!!! I even got some of their food. As we ate some people came for help with computer stuff, so Mom and this other guy helped them while they petted me. After a while it was time to go home.

I was so tired when I got home, but it was worth it.

Thief

Hey Guys!

Nothing much has been going on lately. There is one thing though that I don't understand....
                                          GRAYSON TOOK MY BED!!!

When Liz got home from the meeting Tuesday night she found him looking around it and going inside it. Then like an hour later when we were going to bed he's sleeping in it! I looked at him, then looked at Liz like "Get him out of here", and walked away. I couldn't deal with him!

Don't get me wrong, I don't like my crate, but that's my space!

Sometimes he even eats my food! He's got his own, why does he have to eat mine? Yes, I do eat his food and liter sometimes, but that isn't the same.

This cat can really get on my nerves, but he's still my friend. If Dad, Mom, Liz and Rachel can deal with Grayson's craziness then I guess I can too.

Catching Up

Hello Outside World!!!!

It's been a while since I've posted, but a lot has happened in the past several months. So let me tell you three major things that have happened to me in these couple of months.........

The first thing is that in January last year Mom signed Liz and I up for this class. They called it "Agility". All I know is that this "agility" thing was A LOT of fun!!! It's not every day a dog can run around jumping on things, over things, through things and get treats for it!!! Liz and I had so much fun! We also met a lot of dogs and people that were really nice. I also may have peed in the tunnel a couple of times, but when a guy has to go you have to go.... I don't think Liz liked that to much...oh well. Now I know what school is like for Liz and Rachel!!! They must have so much fun there...

The second thing is that we have a new member to the Getz family. His name is Grayson. He's a cat, but I can deal with it. He's a pretty cool dude! I've never seen a cat get away with so many things! There are a lot of things Grayson has done that are bad, but the biggest thing is that he broke the big fish tank in the kitchen. Dad was SO mad!!! Grayson is still here, so I guess if he did something like that then he is staying. Him and I are best friends.... never thought I'd be friends with a cat. Our favorite game is to chase each other around the house! It does get weird when he starts licking me though, but I think that's his way of him telling me that he likes me. In return....I lick him!!!

Lastly Liz and I became roomies!!! Dad moved my crate into her room after Grayson started living here. So far its been fun, because I get to wake her up at anytime to see me!!! Sometimes she gets mad at me for doing that, but she gets over it. She also doesn't shut my crate at night which is great, but I'm still shut in a room so I can't run free at night.....

Well that's all I have to write about today. Now let's see what trouble I can get into now......

December 2014

Hello, fans!

Well, this month I turned 3.  What a family I have.  I love them so much!

The problem with December, though, is that my family is away hunting...  So I'm stuck at home alone.  But now that I'm an older pup, my grandma decided that she would try out letting me hang out with her and grandpa!  What an evening!  She made me dinner and a fire!  I could get used to that!

The month ends better, though.  My family will be off during the holiday break.  So I'll get to spend more time with them.  Meanwhile ...

Dad took me to work.  It must be "take your dog to work day."  He didn't tell me that his work was at a "vet tech" class, though!

The kids had fun trying to roll me over.  I gave them such a hard time!  Finally, they muzzled me to do it.  It's all right, though.  I know they were just practicing for future mean dogs.  I just had to give them a hard time.  They get to practice placing me in the kennel, too.

I get to have my ears cleaned and a bath; so, I'll smell good once we are all done.  And I even amused them by playing fetch!

...don't ask!
